Italian technology supporting urban safety in Spain

In an urban context increasingly demanding in terms of safety, innovation, and responsiveness, technology proves to be an indispensable ally for Police Forces.
It is in this direction that the recent testing day promoted by Safety21 S.p.A. took place, together with its Premium Partner ITE – Integración Tecnológica Empresarial, S.L., and with the direct involvement of the Policía Municipal de Madrid.

During the demonstration event, two of Safety21’s most advanced solutions were successfully tested:

iCAM3D: A compact and highly innovative device, iCAM3D was installed on board an official Police vehicle, where it demonstrated its ability to automatically detect violations using artificial intelligence algorithms—even in the absence of network or connectivity. This ensures continuous and reliable operation in any urban setting.

GUARDIUM: The GUARDIUM solution stood out for its high level of accuracy, portability, and execution speed in the three-dimensional reconstruction of road accidents and forensic scenes. Ideal for immediate intervention by patrol units, it drastically reduces road closure times and enhances the efficiency of both technical and documentary response.

The testing day is part of a broader development plan in which Safety21 and ITE are engaged in promoting smart road safety solutions across the Spanish and Portuguese markets. A strategic partnership based on the sharing of know-how, cutting-edge technologies, and a common vision, which translates into an integrated offering for local public administrations.

The operational and technical contribution of a highly qualified team – Fernando Flores Moya, Paolo Tommasini, Silvio Foschi, and José Antonio Hortal Carretero – confirmed the effectiveness of the collaborative model between the two companies and paved the way for future implementations at urban and regional levels.

Metropolitan City of Milan and Safety21: together to educate young people on road safety

The project “Mi voglio sicurǝ” is being relaunched with new educational opportunities for high school students in the metropolitan city of Milan.

Contribute to the formation of responsible and aware young citizens: this is the objective of the project Mi Voglio Sicurǝ, realized in collaboration with Safety21 and with the advice of the Association Lorenzo Guarnieri ONLUS, Dedicated to all secondary schools in the territory.

The project is enriched by the Path for Transversal Skills and Guidance (PCTO), an e-learning training programme launched on 22 November, at the end of which it will release 30 hours of training credits. Students will explore key road safety issues such as the links between vehicles and infrastructure, risk perception and preventive action to reduce road hazards.

Starting this January 2025, the initiative will extend with classroom training sessions. The programme also includes project work which will enable students to earn an additional 15 hours of training credits by designing a social communication campaign to raise public awareness of road safety. The three best papers will be awarded by a jury of experts.

For us at Safety21 road safety is a priority, and it is important for us to support the Metropolitan City of Milan in this path, combining training and awareness. Spreading a road safety culture among the younger generation is crucial to educate all users, including pedestrians and cyclists, on compliance. Only through awareness of the risks associated with inappropriate driving behaviour can a genuine sense of citizenship towards road safety be developed.

“We are proud to contribute for the second year to a project that aims to educate young people on road safety through an innovative and engaging approach. It is essential to invest in the training of new generations to build a future where compliance with rules and prevention become shared values” said Gianluca Longo, CEO of Safety21 SpA

A future without casualties on the roads is possible. “Mi voglio sicurǝ” represents a concrete step towards this goal.

Safety21, Main Partner of the 40th ANCI Assembly

From October 24 to 26, 2023, the 40th annual ANCI assembly took place at the blue pavilion of the Genoa Fair. The event, of which we were the main partner, was a moment of great satisfaction. Over 200 mayors and municipalities visited our booth, which proved to be a stimulating meeting point for dialogue.

This context also provided us with the opportunity to share our vision and solutions for a smart life and to introduce Cerbero, the brand-new dynamic behavioral detection system based on AI.
